What a set up. From parking to exhibits and cleanliness it is tops. The selection of vehicles the history and the detail is superb. When finished the restaurant was 5 star and very reasonable. Could not recommend this enough even if cars are not your forty .
An excellent museum for those interested in medicine and anatomy and would definitely recommend visiting the museum if you are in Ingolstadt. There is an audio guide in both German and English, which is easy to follow. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Also, it is worth walking the botanical garden which grows plants used in historical medicines especially on a nice sunny day you can have coffee and cake next to the garden.
Good visit for those interested in surgical history and also Homoeopathic physician who wants to have some glimpse of the plants
Great museum of you are into that kind of stuff or working in the medical field. Staff are super kind and helpful. Unfortunately it was not the right season for us to enjoy the outside garden fully, but this can only mean we’ll have to visit again in the spring
I think they did a really nice tour. It is a simple tour and takes an hour. This tour would definitely be more exciting if you were in the medical field.
Very rude receptionist. When asked if we can communicate in English, we were presented with a single "nein", even though she was greeted in German, was politely asked about the language, obviously understood enough to answer, and there is very prominent visitor information in English right beside her.
Now, the museum itself is great. The ticket price (5 for a regular, 3 for reduced) is a steal for what you get: satisfyingly big and varied exhibitions of medical curiosities, art, history, artefacts etc. There is a useful audio guide in English but the scarcely translated texts on the displays leave a bit to be desired.
It was really nice but definetly not what I expected. Maybe I misunderstood the concept but where I am from, medicine museums have cadavers for you to look into the body from the inside and to look into certain conditions and how they affect us. In this museum they pretty much only had tools and pictures (which is cool but not what I was looking for)
Kind of scary inside, but nice garden and service
Famous for it's connection to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, this is a museum full of history and life. Well worth visiting as part of a visit to Ingolstadt, it's baroque building and medicine garden are outstanding as are the strange collections of toys and gifts in the shop!
A part of the museum (anatomy) was closed due to renovation. It seems that it's not visited too often as a man responsible for the medical technology exhibition didn't even try to stop himself from sleeping. Another exhibition concerning …
